Luton Airport

The Luton Airport authority is seeking to expand the airport with a view to increasing passenger numbers over the next 20 years from the current 18 million per annum to 32 million, with an increase in aircraft movements of over 50%.

The airport authority is currently running an exhibition/roadshow at various venues around the area, the nearest being at Redbourn Village Hall on on Wednesday 27th November and the Jubilee Centre in Catherine Street, St Albans on Friday 29th November, in both cases from 2pm to 8pm. All the documents relating to the proposals are available for inspection at the Library in the Forum in Hemel Town Centre. There is also a website outlining the proposals at

Flight paths are to be reviewed in 2020/21 and, provided there are no changes, Leverstock Green should not be affected to any great extent.  If anyone wishes to participate in the consultation process, it runs until the 16th December.
